Manor Farm is a three-hundred-acre farm between the cities of Bath and Bristol. The Hawkings have been farming and growing here for five generations. Our goal is to link production to landscape and wildlife, and we believe that regenerative methods, and diversification are the future of British farming.

The Old Oak - Rylands

All of our grassland is organic and the arable is grown using an integrated approach. Each arable field has a six or twelve metre margin providing habitats and corridors around the farm. Over the years, David has brought on his heard of cows and we now produce one-hundred finished cattle and six-hundred tons of grain annually, and we aim to be carbon neutral this year. This has been helped further by the installation of a new solar plant, and battery storage.

The farm has an SSSI (Site of Special Scientific Interest) and runs with OELS and HLS agreements at its core.

Meet Our Team

Catherine+and+David

David and Catherine

David and Catherine have been farming Manor Farm since their early twenties, and together with their three children, Jack, Saskia and Eleanor, have transformed this wonderful family farm to what it is today. With their creativity and drive, they have diversified the farm over the years, and continue to think of ways to add more magic to Manor Farm each year. Currently, as well as continuing to bring on David’s beloved herd of cows, they have been working on an exhibition space for local artists, and nature pools in the fields to create habitats for local wildlife.
